Former Nanometrics Chairman and CEO Brings Deep Experience in Scaling Companies and Driving Strategic Growth Initiatives to Kidas
PHILADELPHIA, April 8, 2026 – Kidas (the “Company”), a leading technology company specializing in AI-powered tools to protect individuals and organizations from online scams and other digital threats online, today announced the appointment of Bruce Rhine to its Board of Directors. Mr. Rhine is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor and public company board member with decades of leadership experience across the technology and semiconductor industries.
Mr. Rhine currently serves as Managing Partner of Rhine Family Ventures, a private investment firm, and Board member of Araceli Biosciences. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Board of Nanometrics, a provider of metrology and inspection systems used in semiconductor manufacturing. During his tenure, the company completed a $1.7 billion merger with Rudolph Technologies to form Onto Innovation, a provider of process control and inspection technologies for the semiconductor industry. Earlier in his career, he held executive leadership roles across the semiconductor industry, including serving as CEO of Nanometrics.
“Bruce brings a wealth of experience in leading and advising high-growth technology companies. His insights and leadership will be invaluable as we continue to scale our platform and strengthen our position in protecting consumers from evolving digital threats,” said Ron Kerbs, Founder and CEO of Kidas. “At a time when consumers are losing more than $12 billion a year to scams – and nearly everyone is being targeted – the need for more effective solutions has never been greater.”
“I look forward to working closely with the Kidas team to support the company’s next stage of growth and get the technology into the hands of as many people as possible, as scams are becoming more targeted and sophisticated – impacting everyone from senior citizens to businesses,” added Mr. Rhine. “Kidas’ AI-powered platform is designed to identify scams as they evolve, rather than rely on static rules, which is a gamechanger in helping to reduce the financial and personal impact of these scams.”
Mr. Rhine holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
